The US Gulf International Commerce Club is an educational networking event for transportation professionals. On the 2nd Thursday of every month, meet at Brady's Landing on the Houston Ship Channel to network with other leaders in the Port Community.
As industry leaders, elected officials, and the heads of governmental agencies, the Commerce Club's speakers know that you live and work in the Port Region every day, and speak to issues that directly affect your bottom line.

We are pleased to announce that Port Terminal Railroad Association General Manager Marvin Wells will be our speaker for the April meeting of the Commerce Club.
Marvin will talk to the Commerce Club about the role of the PTRA in the Houston Freight Rail system, and how the Houston rail network influences trade throughout the region.
You do not have to be a member of the Greater Houston Port Bureau to attend meetings of the USGICC.
Biography:
Mr. Wells began his railroad career with the Southern Pacific Transportation Company in 1966 as a brakeman and worked at the Southern Pacific in various capacities, including Trainmaster, General Manager and Division Superintendent until 1996, at which time, he became employed by the Union Pacific Railroad. He was serving as Director, Transportation Services with the Union Pacific Railroad when he came to the Port Terminal Railroad Association as General Manager in 2001.
