Maritime professional with two decades of well-rounded oil & gas industry experience, including six years in command onboard MR, LR, Aframax, Suezmax, and VLCC oil tankers.
Maritime technical advisor and SME to Shell’s shipping and maritime North America West coast.
Member of Shell’s Maritime & Shipping division and
Shell’s OCIMF/ CDI quality assurance team conducting assessment of global vessels for Shell Business including oil, gas, chemical and bulk products. Handle management reviews of ship owners and third-party technical managers for suitability on Shell business.
Proficient and entrained in port management, project management, vessel management, maritime operations, ISM/ISPS/MLC/ISO/OHSAS/HSEQ applications, review and analysis, onboard/shore-based audits, TMSA and OCIMF SIRE vetting inspections.
Lead project consultant for port development projects and ship simulator-based feasibility studies. Has provided several trainings for higher management for oil tanker company employees, senior port pilots, tugs, tankers, and cruise ship masters.
Extensive experience with tanker STS transfer operations with names like SPT and AET in the Americas. Proficient with risk analysis, vessel acceptance, and acute knowledge of vessel handling. Carried out more than 150 STS transfer operations worldwide, most of which were in the Gulf Of Mexico.
I have been a subject matter expert on maritime software development projects.
Has experience with DP Class II shuttle tanker vessels in the North Sea, including the operation of underwater acoustic HiPAP system, Laser, microwave, and taut wire, and operation of telemetry devices.
Highly effective team leader and team player. Has the ability to create a positive bond and environment in the team and get positive results. Exceptionally good with interpersonal skills and knowledge to handle conversations. Well-versed with an array of IT applications.
