ExxonMobil Baytown welcomed nearly 600 community members to their Community Picnic on May 2 at Bicentennial Park in Baytown. The event served as an opportunity to strengthen relationships with their Baytown neighbors, demonstrate support for local organizations that contribute to the vibrancy and well-being of the community, and to highlight ExxonMobil’s operations and impact in the Baytown area.
The day featured complementary food, hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities, games, and more than 15 community organizations, including Lee College, Cool X Dad, Baytown Parks and Recreation, and United Way. These groups provided meaningful engagement opportunities, including a free food distribution of up to 250 boxes by Hearts and Hands of Baytown, while also increasing awareness of several programs and services available to residents.
Baytown Mayor Charles Johnson shared that, “The event embodied ExxonMobil’s commitment to Baytown, fostering connections between the company, its employees, and the broader community on a picture-perfect spring afternoon.”
Together, these efforts created a day of connection, learning, and community engagement, reinforcing their commitment to being a trusted and active partner in the Baytown area.
