Dow Honored with Six Wins in 2026 Edison Awards

Dow earned six Edison Awards, recognizing materials science innovations across healthcare, packaging, manufacturing and software. Dow received one gold, three silver, and two bronze awards, marking the company’s thirteenth consecutive year of Edison Award recognition.

The Dow products and technologies recognized by the Edison Awards deliver breakthroughs ranging from safer healthcare materials and advanced manufacturing analytics to digital platforms supporting infrastructure planning, highlighting Dow’s continued focus on science based innovation.

Non PVC, Non phthalate Medical Films received a gold Edison Award in the Health, Medical & Biotech category. This revolutionary medical film technology enables the safe and secure supply of intravenous and dialysis fluids, delivering excellent toughness and optical clarity without the use of PVC or phthalates.

ELVALOY™ AC Ethylene Acrylate Copolymers received a silver Edison Award in the Manufacturing & Logistics category. The technology enables stretch hood packaging solutions to include up to 35% recycled content without increasing film thickness or sacrificing performance.

Advanced Modeling of Oxygenated Solvents also received a silver Edison Award in the Manufacturing & Logistics category. This web based, machine learning platform optimizes the production of oxygenated solvents, improving efficiency and reducing waste across manufacturing operations.

DOW™ Specification Tracker received a silver Edison Award in the Software Solutions category. The first of its kind digital platform provides rapid access to North American waterborne traffic paint specifications, enabling faster, data driven decision making for the road markings industry.

PARALOID™ EXL 2691J Impact Modifier received a bronze Edison Award in the Materials Science category. The advanced polymer additive delivers exceptional low temperature impact strength while maintaining clarity and processability, including for post consumer recycled polymers.

DOWSIL™ EG 4175 Silicone Gel received a bronze Edison Award in the Materials Science category. The silicone gel is engineered to protect high voltage IGBT modules and power electronics, supporting reliability in electric vehicle, photovoltaic and wind energy systems.

The Edison Awards, named after the iconic American inventor Thomas Alva Edison, serve as a global platform to recognize, honor and foster innovation and innovators. Since its inception in 1987, the Edison Awards have been a beacon for acknowledging groundbreaking products, services, and business leaders. They announced the 2026 honorees during the 39th annual Edison Awards in Fort Myers, Florida, U.S.A. earlier this month.
