BWC Terminals Achieves 5-Star Rating in 2025 GRESB Infrastructure Assessment
BWC Terminals (“BWC”) has demonstrated its continued commitment to transparency and improved resilience, efficiency, and performance by participating in the 2025 GRESB Infrastructure Assessment.
The annual assessment offers valuable insights into a company’s sustainability initiatives, covering critical areas such as energy and water efficiency, carbon emissions, environmental management, stakeholder engagement, governance, and health and safety.
BWC achieved a GRESB 5-star rating for its sustainability performance, a distinction awarded to only 20% of organizations participating in the yearly benchmark review. BWC excelled in several assessment areas, ranking first in overall management and management in energy resource storage. It also received a near-perfect score for its environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) initiatives.
The GRESB Assessments are guided by what investors and the industry consider to be the most material issues in the performance of asset investments and are aligned with international reporting frameworks, goals and emerging regulations. This year’s participation in the GRESB Infrastructure Assessments remained stable and in line with last year’s record levels, despite ongoing market uncertainty and geopolitical headwinds. A total of 186 managers (including 19 brand-new ones) completed 805 assessments across the Fund, Asset, and Development Asset Assessments.
“We are honored to be recognized with a GRESB 5-star rating in the 2025 Infrastructure Assessment. This achievement reflects our team’s dedication to transparency, strong governance and operational excellence,” said Adam Smith, CEO of BWC Terminals. “It also demonstrates that our ongoing investments in sustainable practices and resilient infrastructure are making a meaningful impact—not just for our company, but for our customers, partners, key stakeholders and the communities we serve.”
GRESB data is used by hundreds of capital providers and thousands of asset managers to benchmark investments across portfolios, and to better understand the opportunities, risks and choices shaping the market.
“GRESB participants are showing that responsible investing is more than a mandate—it’s a measurable, data-driven pathway to long-term value and trust,” said Sebastien Roussotte, CEO of GRESB.
